We don't co-manufacture our boots
WE BUILD OUR OWN
Leon, Mexico, widely considered the boot-making Capital of the World, has hundreds of boot manufacturing facilities that are open for business to brands looking to make their boots with limited investment in resources and into the culture of Mexico. These “maquilas” as they are called in Leon make great boots…
But, Allens Boots didn’t set out with the goal of making just any boots, we wanted to make the best boots in the World and to do that we had to make them ourselves, nothing less would satisfy the World’s Greatest Boot Store. To do that we had to invest in Mexico and our people and bring them into the Allens Family. Our Leon facility isn’t a co-manufacturer, we don’t share our facility with any other brands, we wake up every morning and go to bed each evening thinking about and working only on Allens Boots. Truly cutting out the middleman, that’s what it takes to make the best boots in the World.
BEST QUALITY STANDARDS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
Allens Boots are made with an all-leather construction, you won’t find any cork or synthetic materials in our boots. The only exception (like all well-made boots) is pegging, we use brass and lemonwood pegs to attach the outsole to the boot. Lemonwood pegs famously expand and contract similarly to leather when wet lasted, the lemonwood pegs dry and expand into the leather guaranteeing a strong hold and great fit. We don’t skimp, we use 40 lemonwood pegs in each boot to ensure this hold and fit.
